Sharing a simple act of kindness...

...even a small one, can have a very positive impact on any one of us.  Doing so for the sole purpose of brightening a person’s day who has been deemed terminally ill gives to the giver as well as to the recipient of that kindness.

Flowers of Mercy...

...is a non-profit organization, volunteer-based, whose mission is to create and deliver bedside bouquets anonymously, simply to heal the spirit and nourish the soul of the terminally ill.

People who desire...

... the bedside arrangements and give permission will have the knowledge there will be total confidentiality.

Flowers of Mercy ...

...is made up of many kinds of people, people of varied backgrounds, ages and experience.  Board members, volunteer delivery people, gardeners and arrangers and designers, computer specialists, attorneys, accountants all have offered to donate their skills and talents to forward this project without any consideration of compensation.

Volunteers...

...may be anyone from retired persons to young people, formal organizations as Lions and  Eagles. Local master and junior gardening groups and individuals with a desire to grow flowers for the purpose of sharing their work are invited to volunteer their gifts and talents.

Labors of Love...

Volunteers gather two to three days a week to cut and arrange flowers for bedside bouquets. During the spring summer and fall seasons individual volunteers and groups grow flowers of their choosing or take ideas off a suggested flower list. 
During the winter, flowers must be purchased.  We will look to florists and florist suppliers to help us through donations or much reduced prices.

Other Volunteers...

...are needed to clean and maintain the supplies and staging area.  Volunteers pick up the arrangements and deliver them to the proper locations within Meeker County.  Those that deliver make no contact with the ill.  They simply go to the door and pass the gift to the caregiver while picking up the previous week arrangement.  Each week a beautiful fresh bouquet will be assembled with great care and delivered anonymously without expectation.

...welcomes all volunteers who feel they want to do something that has a purpose.
